A 2-platform train station in Llanfair PG 

What’s there? 

The station itself is small, with just two platforms and approximately one train running per hour, but it’s a popular tourist destination for the signage and has a many gift and tourist attractions located near by.

Facts - 

• Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is the longest place name in Europe and the second longest in the world 
• The village welcomes an estimated 200,000 visitors a year, with the train station being a popular attraction for its signs 
• It opened in 1848. There was a fire in 1865 which meant it had to be closed while it was completely remodelled 
• The station is known for its long name, but this is a Victorian contrivance for the benefit of tourism and has no basis in historical usage
