Why take the course?

Cael Cymru is here to provide information access for people with disabilities to aspects culture and tourism.  An important way of doing this is to provide training to the staff and volunteers at culture, leisure and tourism sites. These could face to face learning, including:

    • One hour tasters session in Deaf, VI, or DeafBlind Awareness.

    • Bespoke Three hour Deaf, VI, or DeafBlind Awareness.

    • Tasters sessions in British Sign Language (BSL) and DeafBlind Manual

    • Introduction to BSL (Accredited)

Face to face learning is great and can help answer aspects key to your individual knowledge caps, specifically if you work 'front of house' and are much more likely to come into contact with someone with an information access need.

There are online options and these are a great way to get the basic level of knowledge. Online sessions in Sensory Loss awareness can support and guide everyone in your organisation and are managed by the work schedule of the student.

Cael Cymru's Sensory Loss Awareness course will help your staff and volunteers better able to support those who have an information access need.
